Description The Office of the University Registrar at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Degree Works Analyst. About the Opportunity This position will perform a variety of duties involved in the maintenance and analysis of the degree audit reporting system (Degree Works), for degree programs offered at WVU and its divisional campuses at Potomac State College in Keyser, WV and West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Beckley, WV. The Degree Works Analyst performs a variety of duties involved in the development, implementation, testing, and continued support of the designated degree audit reporting system for the university. Wellness programs What You'll Do Code, update and modify degree audit programs, data and information such as curriculum requirements, policy changes, financial aid requirements, and courses and course requirement exceptions based on curriculum changes approved by appropriate governance groups. Research new and revised information regarding degree requirements through the University catalog, academic departments, and the Faculty Senate, as needed. Verify and assure accuracy of data, information and requirements for the degree audit system. Performs integral role in the testing and validation of Degree Works to ensure integrity of system and protect personally identifiable information. Researches and develops plans for new Degree Works feature enhancements and upgrades. Interact with departments in creating new degree program requirements. Determine adjustments to corresponding coding of degree requirements. Provide support and assistance to degree audit system (Degree Works) users. Contributes to marketing/strategic initiatives to highlight degree audit system, to faculty, staff and students. Assist with duties for athletic certification. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience involving: Strong customer service experience Principles, practices and techniques used in the maintenance and analysis of computer systems, programs and applications. Experience with a computerized records management system or similar database management experience. All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
