Job Title: Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Job Description
As a Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will handle onboarding processes including I9 verification, benefits package distribution, answering new hire questions, creating personal folders, and informing IT of start dates. You will enter new employees into ADP, verifying benefits and personal data, and create folders containing DD, benefits, start dates, signed letters, W-4, and tax forms. You will add new employees to the benefits website and manage terminations, including dates, letters of resignation, and terminating benefits in ADP. Additionally, you will communicate with IT and managers on new employees' start dates and last days, and assist the controller with bi-monthly payroll processing for 150 employees. Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax for five different states on the East Coast is required.
Hard Skills
Associates Degree
2+ years experience in a payroll/benefits role
Experience handling new hires information, data entry, and termination of employees
2+ years experience utilizing ADP for data entry, payroll, and benefits information
Proficient in Excel (navigate spreadsheets, format data, pivot tables, basic formulas)
