Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Hendershot Plumbing and Heating. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including boilers, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioning units, and ventilation
-Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper working order
-Identify and diagnose malfunctions and defects in heating, ventilation, and cooling systems
-Repair or replace defective or worn parts and components
-Perform electrical tests and inspections on HVAC systems
-Provide customers with information on proper maintenance techniques and efficient system operation
-Ensure all work is done safely and in compliance with local codes and regulations
Requirements:
-At least 2 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
-Knowledge of HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
-Strong mechanical and electrical skills
-Excellent problem-solving abilities
-Strong communication skills to interact with customers
-Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Flexibility to work on-call, overtime, and weekends as needed
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
