Job Summary: Experienced Registered Nurse for Medical Utilization Management Department. Performing utilization review and preauthorization activities. Hybrid work schedule with training in the office and work from home. Job seniority: mid-to-senior level.
Responsibilities:
- Work within the DMBA Medical Utilization Management Program
- Perform utilization review and preauthorization activities
- Maintain a private and secure workspace in residence
- Assess healthcare, social, behavioral health needs, and refer to care and disease management programs
- Analyze and report utilization management findings and activities
- Network within the healthcare delivery system
Requirements:
- Licensed as an R.N. in Utah
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Minimum 5 years Med-Surg clinical nursing experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to self-start, self-motivate, and self-pace
- Ability to work autonomously in a team environment
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to assess healthcare, social, and behavioral health needs
- Ability to network within the healthcare delivery system
