Job Summary: Experienced Registered Nurse for Medical Utilization Management Department. Performing utilization review and preauthorization activities. Hybrid work schedule with training in the office and work from home. Job seniority: mid-to-senior level.


Responsibilities:

  • Work within the DMBA Medical Utilization Management Program
  • Perform utilization review and preauthorization activities
  • Maintain a private and secure workspace in residence
  • Assess healthcare, social, behavioral health needs, and refer to care and disease management programs
  • Analyze and report utilization management findings and activities
  • Network within the healthcare delivery system

Requirements:

  • Licensed as an R.N. in Utah
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • Minimum 5 years Med-Surg clinical nursing experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to self-start, self-motivate, and self-pace
  • Ability to work autonomously in a team environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to assess healthcare, social, and behavioral health needs
  • Ability to network within the healthcare delivery system
