Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Dietary/Food Service Director to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our dietary and food service department, ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a diverse menu plan to meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
• Ensure that meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies, ordering and restocking as necessary.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring proper sanitation techniques and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and administration, to provide comprehensive care and address any resident needs or concerns.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in dietary and food service management, implementing innovative ideas to enhance our offerings.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dietary or food service management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to maintain compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills for menu planning and inventory management.
