Position: RN Director of Nursing (DON)

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as the Director of Nursing (DON). As the DON, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the nursing department to ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards, policies, and procedures.

• Develop and implement nursing care plans and interventions to meet the individual needs of residents.

• Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of action for resident care.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws governing nursing practices.

• Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

• Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.

• Oversee the maintenance of accurate and complete medical records for all residents.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.

• Proven leadership and management skills, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.

• Exceptional clinical knowledge and expertise in long-term care.

• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.

• Proficient in computer systems and electronic health records.
