Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
A-1 Mechanical is a dependable HVAC service provider serving Lansing and the surrounding areas since 1983. We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team.
As an HVAC Service Technician at A-1 Mechanical, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to our residential and commercial clients. Your role will play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service, and their HVAC systems are running at peak performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Repair or replace faulty HVAC components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats
- Perform new installations and retrofits
- Communicate with customers about recommended repairs and service options
- Ensure work meets compliance standards and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate service records and complete required paperwork
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service or related field
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
- Excellent communication skills and customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- EPA certification and valid driver's license required
