The Nutrition Site Support is responsible for ensuring coverage and coordinating the Home Delivered Meals and Senior Dining Programs at our dining sites. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide coverage at our dining sites and coordinate delivery of the Meals on Wheels Program. Coordinate meal preparation, services and clean up for Senior Dining Program Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for packing, food preparation, services, and meal delivery. Responsible for safe food handling and procedures. Maintain sanitary work conditions. Responsible for collection and deposit of consumer donations according to Elder Services procedures. Identify the needs of participants and provide referral to other community agencies if needed. Fill in as a driver for uncovered meals on wheels routes. Assist in the office when needed with ordering meals and running reports as well as office admin tasks. Reconcile monthly variance between ordered and delivered meals. Maintain records as required by Elder Services. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to collaborate, take initiative, provide/ receive feedback. Excellent computer skills required. Ability to work independently and professionally. Ability to communicate and work with the elderly and community resources serving the elderly population. Valid MA driver?s license and car required EDUCATION, LICENSURE AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate Food handling experience preferred, but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Travle throughout the service area including the islands.
