Activities/ Transportation Assistant

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities/ Transportation Assistant to join our team. As an Activities/ Transportation Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and stimulating recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities and programs for our residents, both on-site and off-site.

• Coordinate transportation arrangements for residents to attend medical appointments, outings, and other activities.

• Provide safe transportation for residents in our facility vehicle, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.

• Engage residents in social interactions and assist in facilitating group activities, ensuring their participation and enjoyment.

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities, transportation schedules, and any incidents or observations.

• Collaborate with the activities team to create a diverse calendar of events that cater to the unique preferences and needs of our residents.

• Escort residents to and from activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout.

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for residents, ensuring their satisfaction and happiness with the provided activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
