Job Description
Join our team at Laredo Medical Center! We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Coordinator, RN for the Department of Quality Management. Under the general direction of the Director of Quality, this position is responsible for clinical data management and reporting of quality indicators for the hospital. The role is essential in identifying complex quality issues through data analysis and reports. Virtual interviewing may be arranged.
Position Description:
Under the general direction of the Director of Quality, this position is responsible for clinical data management and reporting of quality indicators for the hospital. This role is key to the identification of complex quality issues through data analysis and reports. May provide guidance or expertise to less experienced analysts and nursing staff.
Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
- Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical transformation activities for an assigned service or population.
- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of services and initiatives.
- Collaborate with management and subject matter experts to understand desired performance, assess learning needs, and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Gather, analyze, and report data related to performance and achievement of projects objectives and timelines.
- Track issues and work to improve processes, efficiency, and compliance of best practice standards including electronic documentation standards.
- Conduct training and serve as an expert resource.
- Serve on specialty and/or unit committees, councils, and teams, as well as professional organizations.
- Participate in the identification and development of competencies.
- Participate in the development, deployment, and monitoring of the insight patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support key strategies to drive quality improvement to meet dashboard and strategic objectives, including meaningful use standards.
- Support and facilitates the standardization of best practices.
Applicants Job Requirements Include:
- Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. (ADN or BSN are eligible); Preferred: Master's Degree.
- Experience: Required: One (1) - three (3) years of acute care hospital experience, or equivalent experience. Preferred: Five (5) or more years.
- Required: Must possess working knowledge of general hospital operations, JCAHO, OSHA, Medicare COP, and state requirements.
- Licenses/Certificates: Required: Holds a current license in the state of Texas as a registered professional nurse. Required: CPR, within 30 days of hire.
- Position is an Administrative Nursing Role. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
