Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Valley Air COND & REPAir, a leading HVAC service provider in Fresno, California, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, installations, repairs, and troubleshooting on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular maintenance on HVAC systems, including changing filters, checking and replacing belts, and lubricating parts
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system problems, including electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, and airflow problems
• Repair or replace defective or worn components in HVAC systems, such as compressors, fans, motors, and thermostats
• Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, fans, and thermostats
• Ensure all work is completed safely, effectively and efficiently, according to company standards
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance plans
• Keep accurate records of services provided and parts used
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a HVAC training program or apprenticeship
• Minimum of 2 years of professional HVAC experience
• Current EPA certification
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Able to read schematics and blueprints
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
