Job Description


The Dietary Aide position plays a vital role in our healthcare team. As a Dietary Aide, you will assist in the preparation of diets and provide food service to our residents in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Following menus and preparing food and beverages
  • Interacting with residents to meet their dietary needs
  • Organizing duties to complete customer service in a timely manner
  • Ensuring kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized according to HACCP procedures
  • Storing food and equipment in compliance with HACCP procedures
  • Assuming positions on the tray line
  • Working in the dish room

Qualifications:


  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • High school or equivalent education preferred
  • Some prior work experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work some overtime may be required
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly
  • Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions
  • Manual dexterity, motor coordination, visual acuity, and sensory judgments are necessary
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Must demonstrate the ability to interact with residents in a polite and professional manner
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
