This position provides leadership in thermal design, analysis, and test support of various NASA Space System projects such as:
Human Landing System (HLS) to deliver American astronauts - the first woman and next man -on the Moons south pole
The International Space Station (ISS) environmental variables controls
Ground Support and Test Equipment
Spacecraft and space instrument development
Job Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field is required. A degree from an ABET accredited university preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D., with a minimum 14 years of experience, MS with at least 18 years of experience, or BS with at least 20 years of experience.
The Successful candidate shall have:
Experience with Active Thermal Systems
Proficiency with thermal test set up support, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experienced in thermal desktop
Experienced in NX Team Center
Experienced in thermal Testing
Knowledge of orbital thermal environment development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with NASA standards and MSFC Specifications
