Job Overview

This is a Part-Time - 20 Hour position at Brigham Health And Rehabilitation Center. The Admissions / Marketing professional will be responsible for overseeing admissions, marketing, public relations, customer service, and processing all admissions within the facility. The ideal candidate must be extremely organized, efficient, and capable of multitasking in a calm and consistent manner. Professional behavior and excellent phone etiquette are required, along with superior communication skills. This role involves daily interaction with the facility Administrator, DNS, Admissions, Business Office, and Social Service personnel, as well as various community members. The candidate will serve as the liaison between Bear Mountain nurse liaisons and hospital discharge planners. Understanding financials is critical, along with maintaining referral logs, wait lists, and receipts in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate bed boards, distinguishing payer sources, and completing insurance verification and patient placements. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and possess high energy.


Essential Functions

  • Receive and process all referrals efficiently and timely.
  • Verify insurance through all resources (e.g., CWF, Medicare, Medicaid, M/C).
  • Obtain all necessary paperwork from Managed Care Companies, including authorization and denials prior to admission.
  • Communicate with facility, hospitals, and liaisons regarding patient status, availability, and potential admissions.
  • Update bed boards daily.
  • Maintain referral logs and wait lists following state and federal guidelines.
  • Monitor Admissions tracking board, communicating any issues or necessary updates and changes daily.
  • Verify sexual offender status.
  • Obtain W-10 and ensure discharge summaries are obtained.
  • Document bed-hold follow-ups.
  • Coordinate medication cost out in conjunction with the facility.
  • Ensure that specialized equipment needs are met for each admission.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy and completion of benefits verification.
  • Manage all marketing efforts for the facility.

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Respond to media requests for information or designate another appropriate spokesperson.
  • Study the objectives, promotional policies, and needs of organizations to develop effective public relations strategies.
  • Plan and direct the development and communication of informational programs to maintain a favorable public perception.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with community and public interest groups.
  • Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and corporate reports on admissions.
  • Confer with Admissions personnel to produce or coordinate advertisements and promotions.
  • Consult with advertising agencies or staff to arrange promotional campaigns across various media.
  • Purchase advertising space and time as required to promote facility services and results.
