The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Summary of Position
The VP, International Original Programming will be instrumental in building Lionsgate+'s growing slate of Original scripted series in Spanish-speaking LATAM and Brazil. This newly created, cross-functional role will be responsible for leading all phases of development, production, and post-production for Originals in the region. They will act as a Lionsgate+ ambassador, further establishing and building relationships with LAT/BR creative and production partners. The VP will source new, impactful pitches in the region and work closely with the Lionsgate+ Programming and Acquisitions teams on Originals strategy, creative, sourcing, and deals.
In order to be successful, candidates must have prior scripted experience in the region and be comfortable working in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Fluency in Spanish is required for the role. Native LATAM Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Leverage and grow an extensive creative network, including production companies, directors, and writers
Source LATAM and Brazil Originals pitches that align with the Lionsgate+ remit
Spearhead and refine all development and production materials, including bibles, outlines, scripts, creative talent rosters, and cuts
Vet and manage production budgets
Work arm-in-arm with partner International teams to successfully execute Originals remit, including:
- Programming: Pitch sourcing, greenlight, cast/script/cut notes, final cut
- Acquisitions & Business Affairs: Pitch sourcing, deal closure
Attend industry conferences and events on behalf of Lionsgate+
Interpret and relay larger territory production trends to the broader International team
Travel is required for this role and is estimated at 15-30%
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 10 years hands-on scripted experience at a production company, network, or streaming service
Ideally across both development and production
Expertise across scripted genres with a specialty in drama
Prior experience directly overseeing scripted series
Deep existing relationships within the LATAM creative community
Must be fluent in Spanish. Native fluency in LATAM Spanish is preferred.
Cultural fluency for Spanish-speaking LATAM and/or Brazil
Must have sound editorial judgment with a background in producing, writing, or directing
Flexible, collaborative approach to working in a matrixed environment
Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and process
Nice to Haves
Working knowledge of digital-first OTT platforms and international content
Prior experience developing or producing for a US-based service in LATAM
Familiar with Legal and Finance concepts as they relate to Originals

$200,000 - $225,000
