Goldsboro Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Activity Director to join our team. As the Activity Director, you will be responsible for planning and organizing a wide range of recreational, social, and educational activities for our residents. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for improving the quality of life for seniors will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program for residents that includes both group and individual activities

- Coordinate and schedule a variety of recreational, social, and educational activities, such as games, crafts, music therapy, and outings

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess residents' needs and preferences, ensuring activities are tailored to meet individual interests and abilities

- Maintain accurate records of residents' participation in activities and evaluate the effectiveness of the program

- Recruit, train, and supervise activity assistants and volunteers to support program implementation

- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations relating to activities programs in a healthcare setting

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy, gerontology, or a related field

- Previous experience working in activities or therapeutic recreation with the elderly population

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in activities programming for seniors

- Computer proficiency, including experience with activity planning software

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
