Remote Senior Sybase DBA

Job Description -Oversee the monitoring, planning, installation, troubleshooting, and upgrading of databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. -Collaborate with application development teams to design and develop robust database architectures, establish coding standards, and enforce quality assurance policies. -Evaluate and formulate long-term strategic plans for the management and optimization of production databases. -Provide comprehensive production database support, including issue resolution, troubleshooting, and maintaining database stability and availability. -Ensure robust database security measures are in place to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access. Skills and Requirements -5+ years of Senior-level experience with the following: Perl/Shell coding development -Advanced Sybase or DB2 Optimizer Troubleshooting; The installation of software, configuration and security - hardening the newly built host as per enterprise standards; Configuration and set-up for Sybase Replication Server; Working in Linux and Solaris environments -Extensive experience with Sybase is required, along with a solid background in Database Administration specifically within Sybase. -Proficiency in design, administration, implementation, upgrades, and database monitoring -Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. -Sybase DBA Certification -Experience with SAP (Sybase) ASE and/or DB2 LUW null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
