Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in the Social Care/Services industry, based in RALEIGH, North Carolina, United States. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be majorly involved in processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer inquiries. Responsibilities: • Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. • Maintaining customer credit records with the highest level of accuracy. • Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. • Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions as necessary. • Handling cash applications related to medical billing/claims. • Working with multiple systems to manage and organize a high volume of work. • Overseeing team member activities and providing necessary guidance. • Navigating through a variety of systems to ensure smooth operations. • Participating in organizational changes such as mergers by adjusting to new roles and responsibilities. • Utilizing skills in Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, Epaces, Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration. Requirements • Proficiency in using medical billing software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and EHR SYSTEM • Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and Epaces • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Ability to handle Appeals and Claim Administration effectively • Solid understanding of Benefit Functions and Billing Functions • Demonstrated ability to work in a social care/services environment • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions • Willingness to stay updated with changes in medical codes and billing regulations.
