Prefer an Associate Degree in nursing or similar health related program; a minimum of 5 years in the performance of residential care / assisted living. Other qualifications entail at a minimum a current licensed vocational nurse (LVN) certified

Brief Narrative Description of Job Functions

1. Direct Daily Operations of Assisted Living.

   • Responsible for the daily operations of assisted living; directs and supervises the work of care staff; maintains and schedules the work of care staff; communicates company policy and state regulations to all care staff and ensures compliance; regularly monitors work performance of care staff and related services to ensure quality of resident care; when addressing resident care issues affecting organizational policy, customarily and regularly exercise appropriate discretion and independent judgment when comparing and evaluating possible courses of conduct and acting or making a decision after the various possibilities have been considered.

2. Staff Supervision and Evaluation

   • Recommends staffing levels of care staff personnel to be employed, participates in their recruitment, interviewing, and selection, and recommends termination of employment when necessary; evaluates the work performance of those for whom directly Director of Wellness Description Responsible; provide ongoing staff training; responds to employee complaints and/or grievances in accordance with company policy.

3. Resident Care & Assessment

   • Ensures that all residents receive the utmost in quality of care according to standards outlined by the state and the company; interprets company policy and state regulations to all care staff and ensures compliance; exemplifies the current standard of resident care; monitors medication distribution; reviews and approves medication orders; conduct care assessments; reviews current resident care plans; ensures care staff are adhering to resident care plans and are properly documenting resident activity and progress in care plans; responsible for discharge of residents who are no longer fit to reside within assisted living.

4. Performs other duties as assigned

   • Attend department manager meetings, as required. Perform additional duties as requested by the administrator.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
