SKLD Whitehall is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

As an Activity Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in planning and organizing recreational activities, outings, and events for residents.
• Encouraging and promoting resident participation in activities to enhance their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Assisting residents with mobility and transportation as needed.
• Documenting residents' participation and observations regarding their responses to activities.
• Collaborating with other staff members to ensure seamless coordination and execution of activities.
• Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Ensuring the safety and security of residents during activities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with seniors or in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to empathize and connect with residents.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude.
