Job Description
A Manager in the Forensic Technology Services team will be responsible for supporting the delivery of data breach review services to clients consistent with our quality standards and risk management practices.
Job Duties
- Manages engagements and teams identifying Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) data types within structured and unstructured data sets
- Contributes to the development of bespoke workflows using a variety of technical platforms
- Maintains and routinely updates Standard Operating Procedures and Playbooks based on workflows, leading practices, and team talent and capabilities
- Oversees day-to-day execution of engagements and teams and ensures services delivered are consistent with Standard Operating Procedures, Playbooks, quality standards, and risk management practices
- Takes responsibility for the project management office tasks, deliverables, and team
- Manages engagement financials including review of WIPs, recommending adjustments to line items posted in PeopleSoft, and reconciling draft invoices to contact terms prior to submitting to engagement director for approval and issuance to clients
- Coordinates and collaborates with client personnel and outside counsel with respect to established workplans, milestones, analysis, and drafting of deliverables
- Recommends workflow components that can be made more efficient with the application of technology or additional capabilities
- Uses end-to-end platform solutions, such as RelativityOne, Reveal, and Canopy to process data, complete early case assessment, build and deploy AI-models, review workflows, and apply analytic tools and methodologies, machine translation workflows and complex production workflows
- Applies advanced analytics including machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, named entity recognition, and large language models to engagements
- Analyzes and provides meaningful insights, interpretations, and guidance on client data by leveraging data intelligence and mining solutions
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with teams, client personnel, and outside counsel
- Provides a supportive team atmosphere on engagements and contribute to the professional development of the team
- Performs other related duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises senior associates and associate team members with completion of assigned tasks
- Oversees the completion of workstreams being led by other service lines as part of an integrated service offering
EducationQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree, required
Master’s degree in applied data science, preferred
Experience
Five (5) or more years of data science, discovery, and related project experience, required
Experience in project and/or client management for data breach review matters, required
Experience in managing alternative workflows for a diverse set of file types during the data breach review lifecycle, required
Three (3) or more years focused on technical workflows, automation, and integration of technology, preferred
License/Certifications
SANS, preferred
Azure Data Science, preferred
Senior Data Science by DASCA, preferred
Software
Proficient in RelativityOne, Reveal and Canopy, required
Proficient in Microsoft Advanced E-Discovery, preferred
Proficient in other eDiscovery and tangentially related platforms, preferred
Experience with SQL or other database query language, preferred
Experience with NoSQL and elasticsearch applications, preferred
Experience with one-or-more search technologies such as dtSearch, PowerGREP, and similar, preferred
Experience with basic forensic software such as EnCase and FTK, preferred
Language
One (1) or more of the following languages, preferred: Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Hindi

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Solid organizational skills especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details and quality
Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
Strong and effective people management skills are a necessary component of this role
A strong understanding in data normalization and field level data validation techniques
A strong understanding of the logic and technical processes to create a consolidated data subject list
