Job Title: Ward Clerk Evening

Job Description

As a Ward Clerk Evening at Deridder Retirement & Rehabilitation Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operations of our facility during evening hours. You will provide administrative support to our nursing staff and ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an orderly and organized ward by managing patient charts, records, and invoices
• Assist nursing staff in preparing and updating patient care plans
• Manage incoming and outgoing calls, emails, and faxes while maintaining professionalism
• Coordinate appointments, meetings, and transportation for patients
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and delivery of care
• Prepare and distribute reports, memos, and other documents as needed
• Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a compassionate and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to customer service
