Charge Nurse (LVN) - Solera at West Houston
Solera at West Houston is seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day nursing activities of our facility and ensuring high-quality care for our residents. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise our team of nursing staff to provide excellent care to residents
- Monitor the medical condition of residents and ensure proper documentation and communication
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Coordinate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Assist in providing training and mentorship to new nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and updated resident medical records
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications:
- Valid LVN license in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in a long-term care facility
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Knowledge of nursing best practices and current healthcare regulations
- Compassionate and dedicated to providing exceptional care to residents
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
