Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
M.J. Emonds Mechanical is a leading HVAC company that has been providing exceptional service to clients in California's Central Valley for over 35 years. Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join us at our Glastonbury, Connecticut location.
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' systems are operating at optimal performance. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC systems, ensuring safety standards and protocols are followed, and delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and system inspections on various HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and provide solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Offer recommendations to clients on how to improve their systems and promote energy efficiency.
- Perform installations of new HVAC systems and upgrades to existing ones.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation and provide regular reports to management.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure high quality and consistent service delivery.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, taking appropriate measures to minimize risk and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC service and repair.
- EPA Universal certification and a valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and their components.
- Ability to read and interpret performance data and technical manuals.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve complex issues professionally.
- Availability to work flexible hours and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development to improve skills and stay up-to-date on industry advancements.
