\$15.00 - \$18.20 and determined based on relevant years
of work experience.

Position Summary:
Responsible for public safety and the protection
of artwork and collections within the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art.
Required Qualifications:
Mid-level support role.
Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision.
Typically requires at least 1 year of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

*Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and
Faculty positions.
Position Details:
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Observe and monitor visitors throughout the museum and galleries to
maintain order and secure conditions for visitors and staff.
Perform security patrols to ensure protection for the museum and its
contents from potential losses, vandalism, or theft.
Complete all opening and closing procedures without error.
Provide information and direct visitors to galleries, restrooms,
information desks, and other points of interest.
Welcome visitors to the museum and provide information on current
exhibitions and permanent collections.
Proactively convey to visitors the museum safety requirements and
rules.
Address unsafe behavior in a confident, calm, and friendly manner.
Communicate effectively and maintain a professional demeanor with
coworkers and departmental leaders.
Respond to emergencies per defined departmental protocols.
Prepare incident reports as necessary.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as fire or water
hazards.
Coordinate with Campus Services, Campus Police, fire, or other
emergency response personnel in incidents affecting the museum.

business necessity.
