Van Driver

Job Description

The Centerville Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and reliable Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our patients to and from medical appointments, facilities, and other designated destinations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a passenger van to transport patients and/or staff to various locations.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Assist patients in boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility devices as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and other related information.
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate care to all passengers.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a healthcare or transportation setting.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Physically capable of assisting passengers with boarding and securing mobility devices.
