Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)/Elmwood Gardens or Manchester Commons

At Manchester Commons, our mission is to provide exceptional care and support to older adults, and our team is at the heart of everything we do. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Elmwood Gardens or Manchester Commons location in Erie, Pennsylvania.

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Under the direction of our Director of Nursing, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, proactively identify and address issues, and promote a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.

Responsibilities:

- Assess the health status of residents and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on their individual needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in residents' conditions, promptly initiating appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment, promoting residents' dignity, independence, and empowerment.
- Educate and counsel residents and their families regarding their healthcare needs, treatments, and ongoing medical management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and our organization's policies.
- Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights respected.
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance your professional knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion.
- Experience working with older adults and/or in a long-term care setting is preferred.
