Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager. In this role, you will be working in a busy environment where you will be overseeing the processing of US and Canada payroll, managing the Ultipro HRIS platform, and assisting in the preparation of year-end tax documents. Thi s is a remote contract with standard hours. Must be able to work in MT or PT time zone hours. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing of regular biweekly payrolls, including commissions, bonuses, taxable fringe, garnishments, tuition, expense reimbursements, and manual checks. • Actively resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information from partners and managers. • Identify and solve payroll, system, and timeclock issues, ensuring root causes are determined for effective resolution. • Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to manage the administration of the Ultipro HRIS platform, communicating with teams regarding system functionality and utilization. • Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents and pull reporting data from HRIS software. • Conduct training for managers and partners on the use of Ultipro Core, Ultipro Time Clock, and any newly added modules. • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee wages and benefits, ensuring all personnel and company records are securely filed after each payroll. • Facilitate coordination between payroll and PC Ops to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data and workflow approvals. • Continually update knowledge on commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in payroll and related federal, state, and Canadian labor laws. • Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements • Knowledge and experience in 401k - RRSP Administration • Strong understanding of Accounting Functions related to payroll • Experience in Auditing payroll and related financial records • Ability to manage Benefit Functions associated with payroll • Expertise in Certified Payroll processes and regulations • Holding a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification would be advantageous • Experience in using HRIS Payroll System for managing payroll • Ability to manage Multi-state Payroll in compliance with different state laws • Experience in handling Payroll for over 500 Employees • Knowledge of Canadian Payroll regulations and processes • Familiarity with UKG Pro (ultipro) software for payroll management Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
