American Lighting and Signalization (ALS) provides street lighting and traffic signalization construction, maintenance, and emergency response services in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. Our major customers include state departments of transportation (DOTs), investor-owned and municipal utilities, commercial retail land developments, and commercial road contractors.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Operate within a safety culture in all warehouse functions.
Participate and contributes to the Warehouse Operations team
Assist in maintaining an organized and standard setup of all warehouse inventory and equipment
Delivery of tools, equipment, and supplies to multiple locations in the Carolina market.
Teamwork: Ability to work well with others in a group, cooperate with others, and offer to help when needed.
Loads delivery vehicles and assists employees that are picking up supplies.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Education & Experience
At least six (6) months of experience in a warehouse environment.
Experience driving a forklift, and pallet jack.
Knowledge of heavy equipment.
Pre-Screen
- Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
A Valid Driver's license is required.
A commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
RARE (less than 10%): crawling, sitting, climbing, climbing poles
OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): stooping, body twisting, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, climbing ladders, balancing.
FREQUENT (up to 66%): a sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly, hearing-speech range, walking, seeing distant, climbing on/off a truck, gripping, lifting over 10-50 lbs., reaching, range of motion, depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.
CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): seeing, standing, reading.
Safety
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
