Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and tasks of daily living.
• Ensure resident safety by practicing accident prevention measures, maintaining safety awareness, and conducting resident counts during mealtime and emergency situations.
• Support residents' overall health by performing accurate blood pressure checks, administering prescribed dietary supplements, encouraging exercise and participation in activities, and providing extra assistance during illness.
• Help residents meet their social and recreational needs by reminding them of activities, escorting residents to planned activities, promoting socialization, and assisting with letter writing.
• Provide assistance to residents during meals, including helping with menu selection appropriate for prescribed diets, cutting off food, storing walkers, and coordinating with waitstaff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or PA NA Registration (CNA) required.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with dementia preferred.
