Job Description

Apple Rehab Cromwell is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant/Porter to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant/Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained for our residents, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with our maintenance team to provide support in various areas including repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Maintenance Assistant/Porter will include:
- Assisting with routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Performing regular inspections to identify any maintenance issues and report them to the maintenance supervisor.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events and activities.
- Responding to work orders and completing repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborating with other team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently.
- Providing excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
