Contract overview

This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.

The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Market price: $2,900 USDEst.

Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 3 months

Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned common areas, hallways, Member residences, restrooms, dining rooms, offices, and furniture to ensure all assigned areas are maintained in accordance with expectations established by the Glenridge at Palmer Ranch (GPR). The Housekeeper ensures that they perform their duties according to established regulatory and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Housekeeper include but are not limited to:

  • Assuring that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
  • Following established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
  • Following established Universal Precautions when performing housekeeping procedures.
  • Cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and polishing bathroom fixtures.
  • Cleaning windows and mirrors.
  • Cleaning floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp or wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting.
  • Using proper safety signs when performing floor work.
  • Cleaning walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, or deodorizing.
  • Removing dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning solutions.
  • Cleaning hallways, stairways, and elevators.
  • Discarding waste and trash into proper containers and relining trash receptacles with plastic liners.
  • Changing bed linen and exchanging bathroom towels.
  • Reporting all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Manager.
  • Reporting all unusual resident activity, which might affect the safety or security of other residents, to the Manager.
  • Assuring that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
  • Reporting burned out light bulbs and exit lights to the Manager.
  • Following assigned work and cleaning schedule as closely as practical.
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of housekeeping supplies on assigned cleaning cart.
  • Cleaning drinking fountains and public areas.
  • Coordination of daily housekeeping services with nursing services when assigned to healthcare areas.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of Members' PHI (Protected Health Information) and medical records information.

And other various duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least an 8th grade education. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least six (6) months of practical experience in housekeeping.
  • Must be able to read and understand printed instructions for the use of chemicals and cleaning agents.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be empathetic, enthusiastic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population.
  • Must be well organized and can work with limited direction, take initiative, and can plan and carry out responsibilities, organizing own schedule and duties to complete responsibilities.
