Job Description
Cliveden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 180-bed skilled nursing facility located in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia, PA. We provide short-term physical rehabilitation as well as long-term care services. We are currently hiring for the position of Infection Preventionist and seeking a talented Registered Nurse who can identify infection risks and prevent potential outbreaks within the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Make daily rounds on units to supervise, observe, interview residents, evaluate staffing needs, monitor regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff
- Monitor practice for effective implementation
- Establish and implement infection prevention and control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to prevent the development of disease and infection
- Conduct infection control surveillance activities to investigate, control, and prevent infections within the facility
- Provide consultation to all departments on the application of infection control principles and procedures to specific situations
Work Experience and Requirements
- Two years of experience with managing Infection Prevention and Control practices within a skilled nursing facility
- Knowledge of and ability to coordinate facility, state, and federal criteria in the evaluation of admission applicants
- Knowledge and experience with PCC, GreyMar, MDS, and Care Planning
- Current Registered Nurse license; BSN
