Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Darnold & Lyons is a well-established heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) company seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a customer-centric attitude, experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of HVAC systems, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Location:
South Charleston, West Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and service HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps
- Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, electrical wiring, and refrigerant lines
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure timely and effective completion of jobs
- Educate customers on proper maintenance of their HVAC systems and provide recommendations for upgrades or replacement as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and equipment maintenance
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
- Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and management regarding work performed, equipment recommendations, and billing information
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from an accredited HVAC program
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HVAC industry
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
