Contract overview
This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.
The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:
Market price: $5,500 USDEst.
Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 5 months
JOB SUMMARY
The Part Time (Monday-Wednesday) Accounts Payable Clerk performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follows established Aquarium policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintains complete confidentiality over all Aquarium financial matters.
- Maintains effective working relationships with other Aquarium staff in order to promote a cooperative and team spirit within the organization.
- Provide quality customer service both on the phone and through electronic communication.
- Process purchase orders and bills within the accounting software system.
- Review all purchase orders for coding accuracy.
- Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Review and email reminder notifications for submitted and declined Purchase Orders.
- Review and process credit card statements.
- Review vendor statements and complete appropriate follow-up to ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
- Complete new vendor setups.
- Monitor and update vendor W-9 documentation.
- Creates and maintains Accounts Payable procedures.

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, proficient in use of personal computer and standard programs such as Word and Excel. Strong writing and verbal skills are essential. Strong interpersonal and telephone skills are also essential. Ability to work under limited supervision, both independently and in a team environment. Prior experience in Accounts Payable preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Some sedentary work is required when performing administrative duties at a computer station.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Compliance with appropriate company standards is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
