Job Title : Systems Engineer 3 Job Code: 16902 Job Location: Greenville, Texas Schedule: 9/80 reg with every other Friday off Job Description This position consists of being the capability owner for the Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) which includes Windows software, iPad apps, and a WebApp for viewing flight manual and maintenance manual data. An ideal candidate needs to have a big picture mindset and be well-organized to handle multiple projects effectively. Essential Functions Coordinates between the technical publications group and the software development group to ensure that the tech pubs data is compatible with the digital manual viewers Interfaces with the customer to assist with software operation and/or capture desired, new requirements Tests new software functionalities to ensure proper, intended operation with the technical data packages Releases new software to the field via a Mobile Device Management (MDM) portal and Greenville Big Safari Online (GBSO) Composes user manual updates to reflect new functionalities of the viewer software Maintain mission capability for fleet aircraft regarding flight manuals Creates new user stories and/or bugs in Jira to enlist the software development group’s support Participates in weekly cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to discuss schedule and ongoing issues Supports users of the viewer apps within the company such as engineers, Hangar, Dock, & Line (HDL), and production planners. This support includes troubleshooting, training, and process improvement. Coordinates with other system capability owners for integration and deployment of the viewer software onto the aircraft mission systems and ground systems Creates bids to cover new efforts and ongoing, annual support Writes new requirements and/or capabilities in the DOORS requirements database Maintain S1000D proficiency Maintain baseline awareness of aircraft mission & ground systems Qualifications Current DOD Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance, or a DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance is required Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
