Extension Program Associate Requisition ID: 2024-8438 of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT Category: Program Management and Support Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Job Classification: Non-Exempt College: Extension Department: Extension Home and Community Advertised Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits Overview USU Extension in Salt Lake County is seeking a driven, upbeat individual to serve as a Project Implementation Coordinator (Extension Program Associate) within the Home and Community Department. This person will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of multiple community-based program implementation projects. Projects are related to youth substance misuse prevention, parenting education, positive youth development, and other health and wellness, relationship education, and professional development training initiatives. This is a full-time benefited position. Applicants should work well independently and as part of a team. Some evening and weekend work will be necessary. Responsibilities Plans and coordinates the day-to-day aspects of the projects in collaboration with the project director Monitors the progress and status of projects Plans and organizes, as well as attends, trainings, community events, and programming activities Teaches classes and workshops to adults and youth Assists with onboarding and coordinating the work of part-time implementation team members across multiple projects (e.g., scheduling, serving as point of contact) Assists project director in the development of educational materials, training manuals, and other deliverables as indicated by each project Creates, or coordinates the development of, marketing materials for projects, such as social media posts, flyers, and logos Assists with recruiting program participants and maintaining participant databases Develops and maintains project websites Engages in community outreach activities to represent and raise awareness for projects Provides updates and information to project stakeholders Assists with collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data from programming efforts Assists with preparing project reports and statistical information to meet funder requirements Assists project director with budget tracking Assists with grant writing and with generating in-kind resources to support program implementation Performs other job tasks as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree plus two years of relevant experience; OR a bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education plus relevant experience is required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field Experience with on-site program coordination Experience teaching youth and adults Experience working with diverse populations Experience organizing classes and events Experience creating promotional materials and graphics Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other common software suites (e.g., Adobe, Google) Excellent organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to juggle...
