The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:
Market price: $6,400 USDEst.

Overview
Acuity is focused on building cutting-edge, custom and functional applications for government agencies and looking for Full-Stack Developers to join its Software Engineering Practice. We are a team of “doers” with a bias towards action and have a proven track record of implementing innovative technology solutions to solve complex challenges within government. Candidates MUST reside in DC/MD/VA and available to work onsite in Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities
- Must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment.
- Writing and testing code to specifications and under the direction of management.
- Troubleshooting and debugging code.
- Developing and integrating APIs or RESTful services.
- Documenting software technical specifications, application design, and database design.
- Attending all sprint ceremonies and actively participating in an Agile team.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar area of study.
At least five plus (5 ) years of professional full stack development experience.
Proven ability to develop new applications using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js.
Experience with JavaScript Frameworks such as React.js, Express.js, jQuery, etc.
AWS Native Cloud Development Experience:
- Serverless Architecture: AWS Lambda, AWS Lambda Extensions, API Gateway, AWS CloudFront, AWS WAF, AWS CloudWatch.
- Event-Driven Architecture: AWS EventBridge, Lambda Step Functions.
- Programming Languages: Java, Typescript, and Python are preferred.
- Experience with automating unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and acceptance testing for built applications.
Experience in an AWS DevSecOps Culture CI/CD best practices:
- Experience and comfort level with Infrastructure as Code: For this project, likely Terraform. AWS CloudFormation or AWS CDK is acceptable.
- Experience and comfort level with Pipeline Automation Tools: Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Tekton Pipelines are all acceptable.
Cloud Native Experience:
- Experience containerizing applications and deploying them to a Kubernetes cluster.
- Experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation landscape and heavily adopted tools such as ArgoCD, Tekton, etc.
Clearance Requirement:
Active DOD Secret Clearance
