Dishwasher - Part-time

Job Description

Part-time dishwasher needed to keep our kitchen clean 4-8 p.m. in our 124-bed long-term care facility. Must be at least 16 years of age.

This department is responsible for providing the highest quality dining experience to meet the dietary needs of our residents in our upscale, 124 bed long-term care and skilled nursing facility located on a beautiful campus in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Employment Type

Part-time.

Work Hours

4-8 p.m. varying days and some weekends.

Experience Requirements

Some experience in food service setting desirable, but not required. Will train the right candidate.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age. Must possess and maintain a customer-oriented attitude with personnel, residents, family members, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when situations warrant such action. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, appearance or work areas, regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Assist in daily or scheduled dishwashing and cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Clean and wash all silverware, china, pots and pans, and other dishware and assure that utensils, china, etc. are readily available for the next meal. Deliver and pick up meal carts, trays, special order meals etc. to designated areas. Remove food trays from meal carts and wash accordingly. Wash carts and condiment containers as directed. Help put delivered stock away. Assist in storing incoming foods, supplies, etc. Perform any special cleaning of work areas and equipment in the kitchen as directed. Clean the grill after meals. Responsible for cleaning and mopping all kitchen, walk-ins, dish room, storage room, truck room, and office floors using proper procedures after lunch and supper. Clean rubbish/garbage containers. Take all rubbish/garbage to the dumpster and clean the area around the dumpster, as directed.
