Desktop Support Specialist

Description We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our IT support team in Greensboro, NC. The chosen candidate will mainly focus on Desktop and Helpdesk needs, aiding with the setup and maintenance of workstations and providing user support for IT-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Provide Tier 2 support for end-user desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices. Acquire a strong comprehension of network and switches. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of workstations. Deliver excellent customer service support to end users on day-to-day operations. Respond to, diagnose, and promptly resolve help desk requests. Work collaboratively with team members and occasionally with network service providers to ensure efficient operation of the company's internal and external network connections. Requirements Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or relevant position. In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, and appropriate troubleshooting. Basic understanding of network protocols, LAN configuration issues, and security technologies. Troubleshooting with Active Directory. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take initiative and work independently when needed. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on customer service.
