Job Description
As the Assistant Director of Nursing at Walnut Creek Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre, you will have a crucial role in assisting the Director of Nursing in overseeing the overall nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to our residents. You will collaborate with the nursing team to provide clinical leadership and guidance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and promote a culture of patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing and supervising the nursing staff
• Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing team
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor and maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff
• Handle and resolve any issues or concerns that arise within the nursing department
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and staff
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nursing practices and regulations
Requirements
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience in a leadership role in a skilled nursing facility
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and healthcare standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in computer systems and electronic medical records
