Job Description: HVAC Service Technician at Blythewood Heating A/C AND Refrigeration
At Blythewood Heating A/C AND Refrigeration, we are looking for a reliable and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial and residential buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and boilers.
- Install new HVAC systems and equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance check-ups on existing HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues related to HVAC systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain thermostat systems, ductwork, piping, and other related components.
- Communicate with customers and assess their HVAC system needs.
- Provide accurate estimates for repair and replacement services.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate or degree in HVAC systems or technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
