Contract overview
This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.
The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:
Market price: $4,600 USDEst.
Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 8 months
General Purpose
Develops civil engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the company’s utility facilities/systems.
Principal Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership on complex engineering projects.
- Develops presentations for senior management and implements changes to benefit the company.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, processes, or facilities to support company objectives, utilizing engineering methods.
- Act as a lead/expert in the work group and train and mentor associate engineers, technicians, and drafters.
- Deliver on commitments and manage outside engineering services for assigned work.
- Analyze and design engineering methods.
- Develop detailed design specifications and prepare bid packages for external engineering services and contracts.
Principal Level Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to all engineering staff.
- Lead project teams in the development of critical engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college/university.
- Minimum of five or more years’ experience in industrial power systems or electric utility power systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of civil engineering principles.
- Project management and leadership skills including working as a team member and maintaining project timelines and budgets.
- Proficient with personal computers and automated tools.
- PE license is required.
Principal Level Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years industry experience as a practicing engineer.
- Understanding of company’s business, relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
Preferences
- Master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
