Job Description Summary
This position is for a Lead Production Quality Specialist at BladeworX. You will manage product quality review associated with the manufacturing process, plan and execute continuous improvement projects, and help ensure compliance to the quality system. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
Collaborate with Engineering, Program Managers, Technical Teams and Sourcing to support manufacturing quality and process/product development and qualification.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement solutions, develop standard work and incorporate Lean and Flight Deck.
Contribute to site’s compliance to applicable industry standards and GE Aerospace Quality System including audit management, Quality Management Reviews, and managing calibrations.
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses high level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters.
Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years' experience in Manufacturing or Quality)
Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing or Quality experience
Desired Characteristics:
Prior Manufacturing Quality experience
Familiarity with turbine airfoil manufacturing and/or inspection
