In this role, you will utilize your expertise to support the development of programmable electronic safety systems. The ideal candidate will possess robust embedded system design skills and hold functional safety accreditation based on IEC 61508 or ISO 26262 standards. The position is advertised out of Farmington, CT, but a remote working arrangement could be considered for the right candidate. On a typical day you will: Oversee the entire safety life cycle for the development of safety systems in elevator control systems. Act as the primary point of contact and manage communications with the notified body during the certification of SIL rated devices. Lead the team in analyzing hardware and software designs for potential hazards using techniques such as FMEA, FMEDA, and risk assessment. Lead the team in the generation and review of all necessary documents during the safety life cycle. Review test plans to ensure adherence to relevant standards. Collaborate with global cross-functional development teams throughout the product life cycle. Keep abreast of relevant safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508).
