Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
GMC Heating & Cooling is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Canton, Ohio. As a member of our company, you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic industry, delivering top-notch service to our valued customers. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components
- Advise customers on appropriate repairs, upgrades and replacement options
- Install and maintain new HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications
- Document all service and repair activities in company database
- Operate company vehicle and maintain equipment in proper working order
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of service calls
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication throughout all interactions with customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a HVAC Service Technician
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call as needed
- EPA certification preferred
- NATE certification preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and grip, pull and stoop in confined spaces
