Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Peterson Mechanical Inc. is a leading HVAC and plumbing services company that provides high-quality and reliable solutions to commercial and residential customers in Sonoma, California. We are seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and help us deliver outstanding customer service and technical expertise.
As our future HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will work on a range of HVAC systems, including central air conditioning, furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps. You will also have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of customers, including homeowners, property managers, and business owners.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting HVAC system troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Repairing and replacing HVAC system components, such as compressors and refrigerant lines
- Installing new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork and thermostats
- Performing preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Complying with safety regulations and protocols at all times
- Maintaining accurate records of all work performed, including customer information, parts used, and services provided
- Providing excellent customer service and communication throughout all interactions
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
- Experience working with a variety of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC problems efficiently and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- EPA certification required
