Life Enrichment Coordinator - Assisted Living

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Life Enrichment Coordinator for our Assisted Living program at Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community. As the Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities and programs.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and coordinate a diverse range of activities and programs to meet the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents.

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess residents' interests, abilities, and preferences to ensure personalized and meaningful engagement.

- Coordinate and facilitate group activities, such as exercise classes, music therapy sessions, arts and crafts, cultural outings, and social events.

- Provide one-on-one support and companion services to residents who may require individualized attention or assistance.

- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of programs.

- Stay updated on current trends, best practices, and innovative approaches in senior living and life enrichment programs.

- Foster a sense of community and build relationships with residents, their families, and staff members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

- Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures related to resident safety, privacy, and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

- Prior experience working with seniors in an assisted living or similar setting is highly desired.

- Passion for working with older adults and enhancing their overall well-being.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to create and deliver engaging and person-centered activities and programs.

- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on residents' needs and program requirements.
