Human Resource (HR) Assistant


CommuniCare Health Services is seeking a highly organized and driven individual to join our HR Support Team as a Human Resource Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for completing the online onboarding of all new hires and maintaining ongoing status of offers and completed onboarding for our Therapy New Hires for 130 facilities in 7 states. You will also assist with employment-related inquiries, maintain compliance with employment laws, and provide general HR support. This position is ideal for someone who is forward-thinking, hardworking, and willing to learn.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete online onboarding process for new hires using HRIS system (Workday) and maintain status of offers and completed onboarding for Therapy New Hires
  • Ensure accurate transition of new hire candidates in all HR systems
  • Assist with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
  • Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR and employment law
  • Assist with coordinating retention activities, conduct exit interviews, and track HR metrics
  • Coordinate special events and presentations
  • Assist with training coordination and manage training data in the learning management system
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives
  • Provide support to company leaders in employee relations
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (Workday, Smarlinx)
  • Understanding of sourcing tools and social media recruiting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or HR
  • 2-5 years of HR coordination or relevant HR/administrative experience
  • Pass pre-employment criminal background and reference checks
