Position: Resident Assistant – Personal Care/Memory Care

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team in the Personal Care/Memory Care division. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized assistance and support to our residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort at all times.

In this role, you will work closely with our residents, assisting them with their daily needs, such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, medication administration, and mobility. You will also have the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities and create a positive and enriching environment for our residents.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
  • Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Encourage and participate in recreational activities with residents, promoting socialization and mental stimulation.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents, following infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members to create a person-centered care plan for each resident and contribute to their overall well-being.


Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role or a genuine passion for working with older adults.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature with a strong desire to provide exceptional care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with residents and their families.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care procedures and infection control practices.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
